Zyxel Mesh Multy M1 Wi-Fi 6 – The Gem of your home!

Zyxel Mesh Multy M1 Wi-Fi 6 – The Gem of your home!

The Zyxel Mesh Multy M1 Wi-Fi 6  is a real eye-catcher: it has a white casing and a sleek design, just like a racing car!

The device is also easy to mount on the wall, using the wall adapter. Unfortunately, most manufacturers do not include such an accessory, or simply design the system for desktop use.

Exceptional Wi-Fi coverage everywhere!

At first glance, you might think you don't need this system - after all, if you have multiple wireless devices, they can provide full coverage. That's true! However, every time we move around - for example, walking around the home or office - there is a reconnection process. It’s because we are constantly moving closer and further away from an access point as we roam.

How does reconnection affect our devices?

It has quite an impact on our devices! The applications we are running have different needs in terms of data speed - and more importantly, latency. While using a web browser or reading an email may be smooth, streaming a video may lag while playing. This can be a serious problem for online calls, as voice-based streaming is the most sensitive to latency. This can cause communication between parties to be interrupted and information lost.

Lots of benefits, one Wi-Fi name!

A Mesh system comes with a single Wi-Fi name. It is virtually undetectable to the user which device your mobile phone, tablet, or laptop is connected to. Of course, the app shows this information - if it didn't, roaming wouldn't work properly.

Optimised Mesh with the power of Wi-Fi 6

Today, it's no longer just commercial, hospitality or educational establishments that have a plethora of client devices. Take an everyday example: Take a look around your home and get your wireless devices in order. It doesn't seem like much, right? Then count all the smart home accessories that also use a Wi-Fi connection! That's a much higher number, isn't it?  Plus, they all use the most heavily loaded 2.4 Ghz frequency.

What is the solution?

Wi-Fi 6 brings many innovations in both popular frequency bands (2.4 and 5 GHz). In particular, the system offers even better performance and higher bandwidth at 5 Ghz because it is much better optimised. For 2.4 GHz, one technological innovation has been left out, namely the AC standard. This standard is only available for 5 Ghz. Currently, even all Wi-Fi cameras, intercoms and smart home accessories only support the 2.4 Ghz band. Engineers have recognised that this will probably mean that the lower frequency will be needed for a long time to come. So they introduced the AX standard, now known as Wi-Fi 6, for the 2.4 GHz band.

With the new Wi-Fi 6 devices, it will be much easier to avoid data loss, browsing and watching movies will be smoother and the overall performance of the network will be improved. What's more, Wi-Fi speeds will be boosted when all clients support the new standard.
